What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Passed my driving test. Went camping. Went on holiday with my boyfriend. Saw My Ruin and Buck 65 play.

Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t make any, and I won’t make any this year. I don’t believe in them, I think if there is something important in your life that needs changing you won’t wait until the New Year. I do decide goals though, things I want to achieve in the next year.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
No

Did anyone close to you die?
No

What countries did you visit?
Mallorca. Northern Ireland.

What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?

What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
5th December – when I passed my driving test.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Passing my driving test.

What was your biggest failure?
I didn’t have any big faliures. I went to a job interview and didn’t get it, it would have helped me on the way to the job I really want I think.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
No injury, minor illnesses

What was the best thing you bought?
Is it bad I can’t think of anything? Erm, maybe my charity shop / car boot purchases because I feel like I’ve hunted out a bargain, and something unique.

Whose behavior merited celebration?
My mother’s.

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I’d like to say no one, but that wouldn’t be true. Though I think the way I dealt with a difficult situation had some influence on it.

Where did most of your money go?
Going out, and going on holiday.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Swimming in the sea.

Happier.

Exercise, I gave up a bit in the second half of the year.

Drinking, too many hangover days. I think I shall try to drink less when I go out in future.

I spent it at my parents.

Yes.

None.

Dr Who.

No.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

My driving license.

What did you want and not get?
A new job, but my priorities about this changed over the year, I don’t just want any job, I want a certain job.

What were your favorite films of this year?
Hellboy II, Ironman, Gachi Boy – Wrestling with a Memory

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
26. I went out for dinner in Leeds at my favourite resteraunt, then had my friends back to mine for drinks and laughter.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
A bit all over the place at first, but I’m slowly changing to a certain colour scheme. I don’t think I have really found my style yet.

What kept you sane?

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
None.

What political issue stirred you the most?
Government VAT cuts and Recapitalisation plans.

Who was the best new person you met?
My boyfriend’s friends.
