Last weekend.

October 29, 2008

I was going out and staying up late as much as possible, as I went back to work this Monday. Bah!

Out for my friend’s birthday- it was the 10th anniversary of his 21st birthday. I have to admit the belt came off quite soon- not comfortable for slouching around drinking beer in!!

Top- Mango; Belt- M&S (£5!); Jeans- Uni Qlo (also £5!!).

I also had a night out with my boyfriend and some of his work mates- it was eventful! Good though.

T- L.A.M.B.; Shorts- my old jeans; Grey tights- M&S; Shoes- Faith. I’d forgotten all about these shoes! This picture doesn’t do them justice.

Link Loving

October 28, 2008

How to Overcome Fear, from the Positivity blog.

Morning Coffee add on for Firefox. Opens up all the sites I compulsively visit at once. This is going to save me so much time.

Dead Set, E4’s new 5 part zombie horror, set around the Big Brother house. I haven’t watched this, as I can’t watch horror on my own, but I really, really, want to see it!

Johanni’s Chic Blog I love this girl’s look!

Burn After Reading, a new Coen Brother’s film. I’ve never really seen any of their films before, but it was a choice between this and Eagle Eye. Burn After Reading won, and I’m glad because I loved it! I don’t think I’ve laughed so much at a film before. Except maybe Hot Fuzz.

Tips and Treasures, a guide to thrift shopping from Beth at The Vintage Society.

Do it Yourself Shredded Tee Childhood Flames shows us how to make your own shredded tee, with a video tutorial too!

In Need of New Boots

October 27, 2008

So my black slouch boots that I’ve worn in a few photos on here are finally past the end of their life. Therefore I need to buy new ones as soon as possible! I can’t bring myself to buy cheapo boots, and brand new ones are far too expensive for me at the moment. So vintage it must be. These are a few I’ve found on eBay, what do you think?

And these blue ones are too good! They have ended though, for a lot more than I could have paid.

Saturday Outfit

October 26, 2008

We went into Leeds, had some dinner, I bought a pink wig for my halloween outfit, we came home again.

I like the combination of pink and purple against all the black.

Just the one

October 22, 2008

I got my bandage off! Yey! Stitches out too, all nine of them- I can wer my pretty gloves again 🙂

I wore this to meet the boy out for a drink. Really any excuse to wear my new grey tunic dress from H&M- it’s fairly thick wool and has a really cool plait-like pattern round the neck line. Yeah, I so don’t know knitting/clothing terms.

Totally in love with it though, it’s so versatile! It goes with everything, including both my blue & my black skinny jeans. Another happy purchase.

Grey dress, H&M; Pink T, Zara; Black ribbed wool tights, don’t know but I LOVE them; Trainers, Converse.

Sunday Outfit

October 21, 2008

Outfit from Sunday. I like wearing my blazer with the sleeves rolled up, but it was getting a bit cold to do it. I rediscovered these long fingerless gloves in a drawer the other day (don’t you love finding things you forgot you had!) and I think they are the perfect solution!

My Ruin Gig

October 20, 2008

My outfit from Saturday night, when the boy and I went to see My Ruin play at Leeds Rios with my sister, and her boy! It was amazing, My Ruin are a great live band and you should see them if you get the chance. I forgot my camera though, so I couldn’t take photos of the band, or my sister’s outfit.

Top – Religion, Skirt – American Apparel, Boots – Bronx.
