I don’t have any outfit posts from this weekend because my camera battery died 😦 But on Sunday the boy and I went to a couple of local carboot sales, and by then I had managed to remember to put it on charge.

The best thing I bought were these old glasses with swans on the front, I love them! Not a full set, I have like 3 sherry glasses, 2 whisky glasses and 1 of the larger glasses (what is that one called?). Not bad for £1 though.

I picked up this chunky gold studded ring for £1.

These Primark ballet flats were 50p.

This bag was £1, but I realised when I got it home that it stinks of smoke! So I’ll be Febrezeing it like mad the next few days.

A cute butterfly dish for 50p.

I also bought a stack of books, a sequin scarf that I can’t find now, a really old pocket dictionary and National Treasure on DVD.

And not from the carboot, I bought this sequin top from eBay a couple of weeks ago. I love it, but it’s very long, and a little big on me.

It was also our 6 month anniversary yesterday, so I made spaghetti bolognese and we drank Amaretto and Lemonade (as suggested by Guiwenneth) from my new glasses.

I don’t know what it is, but he’s just a little bit yummy.

Weekend activities.

June 29, 2008

Friday night, cinema with the ex. I looked like a 16 year old, ha ha. But I figure I only have so many years left to dress really young before I officially start looking like a twat. Debut of my lovely new shorts from Uniqlo, and the first outing of the red ribbon:

Saturday I went to Hard Rock Clalling in Hyde Park, beautiful weather and but I got a bit frazzled. I now look like I’m wearing full length red gloves, a red mask and knee high red socks!

It was an awesome day though. We drank pear cider, watched the lovely Jason Mraz and the gorgeous John Mayer ( lucky lucky Jennifer Aniston!), Sheryl Crow, then decided we didn’t care about watching Eric Clapton so we left, went for noodles and green tea and then to the pub!

Topshop Fringe Boots

June 26, 2008

I have been looking for a pair of boots with fringes down the sides since I saw the ones Agatha on Style Bytes has a few months ago. Yesterday on the Topshop site I came across these:

They are so perfect, and would go with so many things in my wardrobe! If only I wasn’t so poor I am eating nothing but baked beans at the moment. They have calf length ones in purple too.

Muji Love

June 26, 2008

Does it make me geeky that I love stationary? Buying new pens and notebooks is almost as much fun for me as buying new clothes. Muji do a fantastic range of colour pens and pencils, and notebooks! My current favourite is the spiral colour notebooks, and I also love their gel pens.

They also sell beautifully simple homewares and furniture, and the shop in Leeds also sells clothes! I am planning a trip very soon to buy glass mugs and storage for my cosmetics.

I really want the skirt- probably not in lilac, but that one shows the skirt off best in the pictures.

I’m thinking of bailing the Paris trip later in the year, so I’ll actually be able to save up for things!
